Palcoyo or Cordillera del Arco iris. This is great point to highlight on your trip to Cusco, especially if you’re looking places off the beaten path. Places where to enjoy nature with great views with less hiking, this place also offers the views of the highest point of Cusco “Ausangate mount (6,385 m./20,945 ft.).” spectacular views of the” Vilcanota mountain range” with different snow-capped peaks. The three viewpoints will show you colorful mountains similar or even better than “Vinicunca – the classic Rainbow Mountain” on the way there is an interesting rock formation known as the “Rock forest” with gorgeous views of the area. Here the people keep alive their local traditions, you will see herds of alpacas, llamas and vicuñas, sometimes condors, chinchillas. Definitely a great place to enjoy nature. This day tour also will give us the chance to visit the famous Checacupe Town where we find the remains of an ancient Inca bridge, here nowadays we find a colonial Bridge which was built using the foundations of the Inca Bridge, perfect place to understand this two periods, (Inca time & colonial time). Another important place to visit will be the lake of Huacarpay near to Cusco.
